The queen comes out and investigates "What is going on here?", after a few flashes from my camera. I thought she was out foraging! I was hoping that she would stay and I can document/film the whole process of nest expansion. But either she did not like me taking her photos, or she got eaten by a bird soon after. I checked a few times and nobody was home the net few days. Okemos, MI. May 26, 2003.
